Hello Odd Friends!
Are you playing along with the Some Odd Girl Hol-ODD-Day hop? If you are, great! If not, you should be! All you have to do is link up a Holiday themed Some Odd Girl project (new or old). Hop on over to the Some Odd Girl Blog for the deets.
So, if you read my Some Odd Girl December Sketch post, you'd know that I love Winter. It is by far my favorite season! I love the holidays, the snow, polar bear themed goodness, and the plethora of peppermint scented everythings! Bath and Body works releases their Twisted Peppermint line. Yankee Candle releases their peppermint candles. Peppermint bath salts, candy; this year I even found peppermint Chapstick!
Since my last card was a Polar Bear, I decided I would turn my focus and use Elf Kaylee to create a peppermint themed treat box:
Again, this is not a card...it's a box!
With peppermints. I love peppermints. Both the peppermint paper and ribbon are from Michaels. (I got them last year, so I'm not sure if they have currently have any.)
The top layers is actually a blue diamond pattern, but it's hard to see in the photos.
I colored Ms. Kaylee using Copics:
Skin: E000, E00, E11
Hair: E21, E31, E33, E35, E55, E57
Reds: E77, R35, E29
Greens: G18, G17, G16, G05, G02
Whites: W7 - W0 (all)
Gold: Y28, Y26, Y18
...and Stickles. Lots of Frosted Lace and Xmas Red Stickles!
The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink's Tremendous Treats: Christmas set. I stamped it in Stampin' Up!'s Red Riding Hood.
Here's a final view with the box and the lid. =o D

Hello Odd Friends!
Welcome to the Some Odd Girl December Sketch. Have you seen it? Of course you have. It's delightful. Seeing as how we're entering Wintery goodness here in the Midwest, I just had to polar it up. Oh, yea, and I {puffy heart} polar bears. Like, seriously...love me some polar bears.
/derailing for a moment
I recently switched jobs. I have a cube mate now. He's a fun lovin', retired airforce, former farm boy turned software nerd, with entirely way too many Nerf guns. I moved in and with me came all of my polar bears. He shoots them with his Nerf guns. Then World War Polar breaks out in the office and next thing you know, there are Ramen Noodles EVERYWHERE. Certainly that will make sense to my fellow Engineers who spend more time in their Cubes than they do at home. No? Am I the only one? Ok...moving on...
/derail
I *had* to use Polar Pals for this card. Why? Because Polar Bear + Wintery Goodness = Love.
During Kristy's Birthday Month celebration, Elaine share a tutorial for creating the Northern Lights background. It was amazing and I had to try it.
I think Elaine used ShinHan Touch Twin markers. I used Copics:
Polar Bear/Snow: C1, C2, C3, C4, C5, C6, C7, and B02.
Sky: B99, B16, BG13, BV01, G02, and B00. I added the snow with a white gel pen.
That's it. Lovin' on some polar bears over here. How about you? What SOG goodness will you be using for your December sketch? Link up to the Some Odd Girl Challenge to play along! I can't wait to see what everyone creates!

Hello Fluttery Friends!
I was completely MIA last week for our Flutter By Challenge. I hope all of our friends in the United States had a wonderful Thanksgiving. It was my year to go see my family, so it was super (despite putting 2000 miles on my car in 7 days)!
I'm not sure if you've ever spent 10 consecutive hours in a car with your spouse and a 4 year-old, but it will make you want to punch it! Get it? See what I did there? This week's Flutter By Challenge is to PUNCH IT! Clever, huh? ;o )
So, what does that mean? Use dies or punches and get creative.
I used Saturated Canary's Whispy for my card this week:
I used a plethora of Spellbinders [image, pattern paper, card base] and Papertrey Ink [banner and scallop border] dies on this card.
I colored her up using Copics. I'll do my best to remember which ones. [I might screw this up. I was coloring while watching the last two episodes of Walking Dead, so I wasn't paying much attention to what I was grabbing.]
Skin: E000, E00, E01, R20
Hair: E13, E15, E17, E19, E29 [I may have started with E11]
Wings/Skirt: C2, C3, C4, C5, C6 [and maybe a touch of C7?]
Sleeves/Leg Warmers: V000, V01, V04, V06, V09
Leaf Skirt: YG91, YG97, YG99, and I think G24
Shirt/Tights/Shoes: R81, R83, R85, R39
The sentiment is from a Fiskars sentiment set that I've had for a long time. I don't have the original packing, so I'm not sure which one. I stamped it on vellum using Stampin' Up!'s Basic Gray.
That's it! Get out your Butterflies or Fairies and PUNCH IT! Link up to the Flutter By Wednesday Challenge blog to play along.

Hello Odd Friends!
Guess who has sentiments now? Did you guess? Yup! Some Odd Girl and they are fantastic!
Here is my card using Summer Kaylee and the new clear sentiment set:
I love Summer Kaylee. I really can't use her enough. She's a blast to color.
I colored her up using Copics:
Hair: E21, E31, E25, E29
Skin: E000, E00, E11, E13, R20
Shirt: R81, R83, R85, R39, BG72, BG75, BG79
Jeans: B63, B66, B69
Shoes: E55, E57, E59
How much do you love the new sentiments? I stamped it on a Simple Stories SN@P Studio Snappy Sayings Snap Cards using Stampin' Up!'s Island Indigo. The chevron is also from the same sentiment set.
That's it! Love it? Head on over to Some Odd Girl Stamps to get your own!

Happy Wednesday, Fluttery Friends!
This week we are Thankful.
I used Some Odd Girl's 60's Mod Mae to be thankful:
I colored her using Copics. Now, I wasn't around during the 60's, but from what I've seen it was all about bright colors and patterns. When I colored up Ms. Mae, I added the circles on her hips because I though they were, well, hip! =o D
Colors:
Skin: E000, E01, E11, E13
Hair: E21, E31, E33, E35
Clothes: C7, C6, C5, C4, C2, C1, RV14, RV13, RV10, B0000, B00, B02, B14
The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink's Grunge Me set.
Your turn! Get out your butterflies and fairies and get thankful! Link up to the Flutter By Wednesday Challenge to play along.

Hello, Friends!
Welcome to the Some Odd Girl November Digi Release post. I can't say enough how honored I am to be a guest among the Some Odd Girl Design Team!
That said, I'd like to introduce you to Winter Bear:
If you know me at all, you know I have an unhealthy obsession with Polar
Bears. I saw a preview of this guy on Instagram and
squee'd with joy when I saw the digi!
Blue/White is one of my absolute favorite color combos, so I figured that's what I'd go with. I colored up Winter Bear using Copics.
Bear: W0 - W5
Hat/Scarf: B0000, B000, B00, B02, B12 (and a touch of B14 if I remember correctly).
Ears: R81, R83, R85
Once I got him all colored up, I realized I didn't have any papers that matched. Off to Michaels I went. Everything on this card was purchased specifically for this card, and it's all Recollections.
Disclaimer: Except the sentiment. It's a Kraftin' Kimmie.
Oh, and I've jumped on the Washi Tape bandwagon too.
I loved these sparkly snowflakes. I can't wait for real snow!
Love Winter Bear as much as I do? Head on over to Some Odd Girl and pick up your own!

Hello Fluttery Friends!
Welcome to another Flutter By Wednesday challenge! This week we have the pleasure of being sponsored by A Day For Daisies, and we have another open challenge. That means that you can create whatever your fluttery heart desires AND have a chance to win some digi awesomeness.
I have another CAS card this week. Not because I was super busy, but because I love love [love!] this image and I didn't want anything to take away from it.
Here is my card:
I used Book Time. Did I say how much I love this image? My daughter and I read together everyday. She is finally getting to the age where she can start reading to me and it is magical.
I colored using Copics.
Shirts: B0000, B000, B00, B02, B14, B29, R81, R83, R85, R39.
Mama Hair: E13, E15, E17, E19, E59
Little Hair: E21, E31, E33, E55
The sentiment is from another clear set I have. I thought it was Flopsey Bunny from My Favorite Things, but I can't find it on the website. It might've been a set from The Cat's Pajamas. Now it's going to bug me and I'm going to have to go find it somehow.
Anyway, I thought the sentiment was amazing and it fit perfectly on the stamp! w00t!
I have another one colored up for a page for her scrapbook. =o D
The pattern paper is Recollections and the little orange butterfly is Martha Stewart.
That's it! Grab your favorite butterfly or fairy and go nuts! You can make anything you want! Link up to the Flutter By Wednesday Challenge Blog to play along and have a chance to win!
