Hello Fluttery Friends!
Welcome to this week's Flutter By Wednesday Challenge! We have another wonderful sketch by our own Kathy.
Here is the card I made:
Didn't Kathy give us another wonderful sketch?! I was excited this week because I didn't use my Copics to color. When I first started paper crafting, my best stampy friend MAL gave me [long term loan] a set of water color pencils. I got my first aqua painter pen in my latest Stampin' Up! order, and couldn't wait to play with it. So, my wonderful Fairy Teddy from Unity Stamp Co is colored up with water color pencils. You really can't fake the fabulousness of watercolor.
I spiced up the card with some We R Memory Keepers twine and a few Recollections flowers.
That's it! Get out your butterfly or fairy and head on over to the Flutter By Wednesday Challenge blog to check out Kathy's Sketch and play along!
Thanks for looking!

A Sketchy Flutterby Wednesday!
Hello, Fluttery Friends!
Welcome back to the Flutterby Wednesday Challenge. This week we have a fantastic sketch created by none other than our very own fabulous Kathy.
As many of you know, last weekend was Scrapfest 2012. I was not fortunate enough to go, but some good friends of mine were there. This card was inspired by all of the random picture messages I got of Tim Holtz. =o D
Here is the sketch:
Don't you love it? Kathy did a great job. Now, on to the details:
The card base is Papertrey Ink's True Black cardstock. The scalloped background is made from alternating papers out of a Tim Holtz paper pack using the Spellbinders Classic Scallop Edgeabilities. I stamped the background with music notes in Memento Black.
The ribbon is just classic white satin ribbon that I distressed using both the Frayed Burlap and Concord distress inks. I made the flowers using the Flower Shoppe Cricut cartridge and pattern papers out of the same Tim Holtz paper pack. The brad in the center is Recollections and I have no clue where I got the little heart key. It was in the random bucket.
The stamps are both from Unity Stamp Co. I painted them up using my Snowcap paint Dabber and stamped them on a plain tag. I dried the paint using a heat gun, then distressed the tag using Concord, Frayed Burlap, and Summer sky distress inks. When I was done distressing, I used a wet paper towel to wipe the distress ink off of the white paint.
That's it, kids! Your turn. Get out your butterflies or fairies and use Kathy's sketch in your creation. Link up to the Flutterby Wednesday Challenge blog to play along.

Welcome Back To The Flutter By Wednesday Challenge!
Hiya Everyone!
Welcome back to the Flutter By Wednesday Challenge. Hopefully you made it over here from Michelle's blog, but if not, head on over to the Flutter By Wednesday Challenge blog to hop along from the beginning. Believe me, you don't want to miss anything!
First, I want to say how truly thrilled I am to be a member of this team. A *huge* thank you to Danni for choosing me to be a part of it.
To get things started, I wanted to take the opportunity to make a card for all of our friends that will be playing along with us. So, to all of our fluttery friends, WELCOME! This one's for you!
The card base and white cutout are Papertrey Ink's Stampers Select White Cardstock. All of the pattern papers are from DCWV's Butterflies and Blossoms paper pack.
I used Some Odd Girl's Rainbow Fairy; I colored her using Copics:
Hair: Y28, Y26, Y18, Y15, Y11
Skin: E11, E00, E41, R83
Dress/Flower: R86, R83, R81, G05, G02, G00
Eyes: B02, B00
Rainbow: V17, V15, YR07, YR06, B14, B12
Wings: BV01, BV00 and ICICLE STICKLES!
Who loves Stickles? *points at myself* This girl!
The sentiment is from Unity Stamp Co's Art and Possibility set, and it is the most important part of this card. "Why", you ask? Because art isn't about being the best. It's about having fun!
Now, don't get out your butterflies and fairies just yet. Head on over to Jenée's blog to see what she has in store for you!
Once you've had a chance to hop, get out the crafty stuffs and play long. I can't wait to see what you create!
Thanks for stopping by!

A Tiddly SFYTT
Just a quick post. I realized I hadn't yet done the July SFYTT. What?! Yea...I know.
Luckily, I had a Tiddly Inks image that I needed to color.
Say hello to Tiddly Ink's Sweet Dreams Wryn:
I colored her up using Copics. The pattern papers are Karen Foster Designs. The card base is Papertrey Ink Stamper's Select cardstock. The sentiment and moon are stamped on SU! Confetti paper. I sponged the
moon using Memento London Fog and added a few splats in the same color. The sentiment is from Unity Stamp Co's April SMAK kit.
I really adore Wryn!

Daddy's Day
Father's day is around the corner. I really suck at making masculine cards. Period.
Regardless, here is the card I made for my Papa:
The card base is Papertrey's True Black cardstock. The pattern papers are from Tim Holtz paper pack.
The car is from Unity's February KOTM. The 'DAD' is from Papertrey Ink's Framed Stamp set.
I used ink applicators and distressing pads to create the background. Then I applied the clock stamps (Tim Holtz) using the water embossing technique.
Water embossing: Press stamp into embossing pad (I use Versamark) and spray with water. Stamp onto card and remove immediately. Set with embossing gun.

Art Is Knowing Which Ones To Keep
I've been wanting to try this technique for awhile and never got around to it. Fortunately, I'm on vacation! So, cleaning day turned into crafting day!
I made the following card - for no reason whatsoever:
The card base is Adirondack glossy paper mounted on Papertrey Ink's True Black cardstock. I used Adirondack Alcohol Ink to make the background. Colors: Butterscotch, Stream, Purple Twilight, Sunset Orange, Wild Plum, Sunshine Yellow, Watermelon, Sail Boat Blue, and Citrus.
The butterfly stamp is from Unity's January KOTM and the flourishes are from Unity's Growing In Unity set.
The sentiment is Tim Holtz. Hindsight - I should've stamped on lighter colors.

MAL: Queen Of The Entire Freakin' Universe
I was telling a friend of mine (who also happens to be a manager in my department) about Unity Stamp Co.'s May Kit of the Month. There's one sentiment in there that I just love. It states, "It's not east being Queen of the entire freakin' universe." I told her I really wanted to make a card with it, but I didn't have anyone in mind to be the recipient. She said, "Hello?! Me! I'm Queen of the entire freakin' universe." I giggled and told her that she would have one coming her way.
I decided to make a hanger for her door instead:
The paper is all Papertrey Ink and the stamps are all from Unity Stamp Co.'s May KOTM. I colored using Copics.
Copics: E11, E00, E000, YG09, YG07, YG06, YR09, YR07, YR04, C3, C2, C1
Copics: E11, E00, E000, R39, R27, C10, C9, C7, C6, C5, C4, C3, C2, C1
This one was slightly more complicated. Copics: E11, E00, E000, B29, B28, B24, BV08, BG17, BG18, YG06, B14, B41, W2, G02, C5, C4, C3, C2, C1.

Heart and Soul: April SFYTT
Just a quick post for the April SFYTT.
Here is our sketch:
I wanted to do something really simply, so I used the inky watercolor technique on some watercolor paper. The Butterfly and Sentiment stamps are from Unity Stamp Co's January KOTM. The music notes are from Papertrey Ink's Background Basics, Music Notes set.
Inks are from Stampin' Up!'s 2011-2012 line.

March SFYTT: She flies with her own wings
Just a quick post to share the card I made for the March SFYTT. Sorry to keep this short, but it's been a long day and my bed is calling yelling for me to be in it.
Here is the sketch:
...and here is the card I made. I flipped the sketch on its side.
The card base is Papertrey Ink's True Black. The layers are Stampin' Up!'s Island Indigo and Confetti Cream. The inks are Stampin' Up!'s Island Indigo and Calypso Coral.

RAAWWWRRR - Means "I Love You" in Pink Dragon
First thing to know about Rizzobear? She *loves* dragons. Specifically, the pink ones. Personally, I've never seen a pink dragon. You can imagine how distraught I was when she told me she wanted to be a pink dragon for Halloween. I spent months trying to find a costume. Thankfully, a few weeks before Halloween, I found one on ebay. I almost cried I was so relieved.
Now, for the past few weeks Rizzo has been begging me to color her a pink dragon. I also love dragons, so I have dragon stamps aplenty. When she told me she wanted it colored, I decided I would make her a scrapbook page with her Halloween costume and a few dragons of her very own.
This is what happened:
The Sentiment is from Unity Stamp Co.
The cute little pink dragon below is from Sweet November.
This dragon is from Sweet Pea Stamps.
Thanks for a looking!
