It's Flutter By Wednesday Time!

Hiya, Kids!

Welcome to this week's Flutter By Wednesday Challenge!  Our task this week was to use any butterfly or fairy AND to decorate the inside of the card.  I, for one, am thankful for this challenge.  I find the insides of my cards horribly neglected.

I used Tiddly Inks' adorable new Flutter By to Say Hi digi.  Fitting, right?!  Basically, I've been waiting for an excuse to use this stamp.    =o D

The pattern papers are all from the DCVW Kids Paper Pack.  The intention was to follow the Operation Write Home Sunday Sketch, but I deviated too much.  So, I don't think it counts.

I colored the image using Copics.

Hair:  E11, E13, E15, E17, E19, R27
Skin: E00, E000, E11, R20
Clothes: B00, B02, G00, G02, E55, E57, E59
Wings/Butterflies: RV10, RV13, BV00, V12, G00, G02
Flowers: YR06, Y15, Y11, YG09, YG07

The embellishments are Recollections.

Now, to the inside of the card!

The strip along the top is from the scrap bin, so I can't give you the manufacturer.

I colored the flowers using the same Copics listed above.  Both of these stamps are Unity Stamp Co and the sentiment is stamped in Stampin' Up!'s Garden Green.

Exciting, yes?  Time to get out your supplies and play along.  Can't wait to see what you create!

Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Birthday Lillybean! ...Again!

This time last year, I posted a Happy Birthday, Lillybean card.  I can't believe that Lillian's birthday is here again.  Time goes so fast!

My dear friends, Jay and Rachel, and the most adorable little girl.  She turned three a few days ago and her party is tomorrow.  Much like me, Rachel has a tendency to rock the alternative side.  I took the opportunity to use one of my favorite Tiddly Inks digis.  I don't get to use this stamp near as often as I would like!

Using Tiddly Ink's Pinkie, I'm here to say HAPPY BIRTHDAY LILLIAN!

The card base and white frame are, as always, Papertrey Ink.  The pattern papers are Signify Pink.

I colored her using Copics:
Hair: RV10, RV 13, C5, C7, C9, and C10
Skin: E11, E00, and E41
Dress: Y06, W6, W4, W2, and W1
Cake: RV14, RV13, C10, N4, N2, N1

The '3' is a chipboard cutout that I stained pink using Tim Holtz' Worn Lipstick distressing ink.  The butterfly is Flora Doodles.

I'm also submitting this card for the August SFYTT:

Seriously!  So excited to color this stamp!  I love Pinkie!

Thanks for looking!

Rizzo's Good Girl Chart

My Rizzobear decided to wait until she was three to hit the terrible twos.  Her behavior lately has been whiny, rude, defiant, and outright appalling. I can't believe I'm already saying, "What happened to my precious baby girl?!"

Rizzo is also a people pleaser.  She responds fantastically to positive reinforcement.  When she was potty training shorty after she turned two, I made her a potty chart.  It took two weeks for her to be potty trained, and she's only had one accident.  I blame her Gie Gie (my Mom) for that one.  Rizzo was so excited she had come to visit that she didn't realize she had to pee until it was too late.  So, long story short: Rizzo loves to get that sticker!

When her behavior started getting rough around the edges, I thought perhaps a "Good Girl Chart" would be just the ticket to nip it in the bud.

Here is what I made:

The base is Stampin' Up!'s Blushing Bride.  The white is Papertrey Ink's White cardstock.  The pattern paper is from DVCW's Dots, Stripes, and Plaids paper stack.

The frame is one of the fabulous freebies given away by Tiddly Inks during their 2 year anniversary.

I printed off "Rizzo's Good Girl Chart" on Papertrey Ink's white cardstock and cut it out using Papertrey Ink's Mat Stack 5.

This little fairy beaut Tiddly Ink's Wryn - Fairy Friends colored using Copics.

And this darling fairy girl is Tiddly Ink's Fairy Wishes.  I just adore Wryn!

Rizzo got to do the butterflies.  They are from EK Success (purchased at Michaels, I believe).
For the rewards, if she's good girl all week (of course, I allow some give...she is three), then she gets a special prize on Saturday such crafting time with Mommy or a special dessert.

I also did myself a favor my placing a hollow backing to the back of the frame and making the list tabbed so I could reuse this chart.

Here's hoping this works!  Thanks for looking!
